    Holidays are here again, students! As you all know, in a few days we go on holiday for Holy Week, a Spanish tradition that lasts a week and represents the passion of Christ. However, this custom does not exist in either England or the United States. So, what's this Easter thing?   Boxing Day is a public holiday in the United Kingdom. It is celebrated annually on the day after Christmas, 26 December. On this day, donations and gifts to the poor are encouraged. It is a bank holiday in both the UK and Ireland. If Boxing Day falls on a Saturday, the following Monday is a public holiday. If Boxing Day falls on a Saturday, the following Monday and Tuesday are national holidays. All schools and many other organisations are closed during this period.
